Maruti Suzuki is preparing to introduce the Victoris SUV, a new model loaded with advanced features, designed to appeal to both young buyers and families. Positioned as the company’s flagship SUV, the Victoris is distinguished by its inclusion of ADAS, a first for Maruti. This technology provides an enhanced safety profile by including features like automatic braking, lane keeping assistance, and collision avoidance. The vehicle will also feature a Dolby Atmos audio system, for an enhanced audio experience. The Victoris has received a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP. It will offer a range of engine options, including petrol, petrol-hybrid, and CNG.
Pre-bookings for the Maruti Victoris SUV are open for ₹11,000. The launch is anticipated before Diwali; however, the precise date is pending announcement. The company is targeting the festive season, possibly scheduling the launch around Navratri, from September 22nd to October 2nd. The car will be available in six trims: LXI, VXI, ZXI, ZXI (O), ZXI+, and ZXI+ (O). The base LXI variant is well-equipped, featuring a 7-inch touchscreen, a 4.2-inch driver display, black-ivory interior upholstery, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice assistant, a Type A front USB charger, push button start/stop, smart key, a pollen air filter, automatic AC, rear AC vents, 6 airbags, ABS with brake assist, an electric stability program, hill hold assist, a tire repair kit, Isofix child seat anchors, and three-point seatbelts. With an estimated price of around ₹10 lakh, the base variant is a practical choice, even though it lacks some high-end features.
The premium ZXI+ variant includes Level-2 ADAS, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, front ventilated seats, 4 speakers, a head-up display, 2 Type-C front USB chargers, terrain mode (AWD), and 17-inch machine-cut alloy wheels. The ZXi+ (O) variant adds a panoramic sunroof. Given the comprehensive features, these top-end models are expected to be priced around ₹18 lakh (ex-showroom). For those who can afford it, the ZXI+ and ZXI+ (O) variants are recommended. The best value-for-money variant can only be determined after the official price release. The Maruti Victoris ZXI already offers a strong value proposition, featuring a 10.25-inch driver display, black-ivory interior upholstery, an automatic IRVM, black-out 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, DRLs, fog lamps, and the standard features of the base models.
