Apple has increased the price of its iPhone Pro models for the first time in seven years. The new series is available, with some models experiencing price increases. The new iPhone Air, which replaces the Plus model, also has a higher price than the Plus variant.
The iPhone 17 Pro starts at $1099 (roughly equivalent to ₹97,002), a $100 increase from the iPhone 16 Pro’s $999 (approximately ₹88,175) starting price. The new price includes 256GB of storage, double the storage of the previous model.
Alongside the Pro, Apple introduced the iPhone Air, which replaces the Plus model. The starting price for the Air is $999 (about ₹88,175), $100 more than the Plus. Greg Joswiak, Apple’s Chief Marketing Officer, confirmed that all models now have more base storage.
Analysts anticipated the price adjustments. Apple faced over $1 billion in tariff expenses this quarter. The company is shifting production from China to India, and this is impacting product pricing. Despite the higher prices for the Pro and Air models, the standard iPhone 17 is priced at $799 (approximately ₹70,522).
