When daughters get education, our generations are educated. The state government is working with full commitment for the higher education of daughters. Chief Minister Shri Sai said this today on the occasion of the launch of the Azim Premji Scholarship Scheme from the Chief Minister’s residence office located in Raipur, the capital.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai congratulated the Azim Premji Foundation and said that this scholarship scheme will give thousands of daughters an opportunity to realize their dreams. He said that in the last 25 years, Chhattisgarh has seen all-round development and daughters have also increased the pride of the state by playing their role in it. This initiative has been taken with the aim that daughters should not leave their studies incomplete due to financial difficulties. This scheme will help in further increasing the enrollment rate of girls in higher education in the state.
Shri Sai said that this scholarship will further the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao resolution. Through this, girls from the lower income group studying in government schools will get special help and they will be able to continue their higher education.
The Chief Minister said that when daughters study, they educate not only two families but entire generations. He directed to widely disseminate information about this scheme in all colleges.
It is noteworthy that under this scheme, regular students who have passed 10th and 12th class from government schools of the state will be eligible. Students who will take admission in the first year of graduation or the first year of diploma courses in any recognized institution of the country in the academic session 2025-26 will get the benefit of the scholarship. To get the benefit of the scheme, one has to apply online on the website https://azimpremjifoundation.org/what-we-do/education/azim-premji-scholarship/. There will be no fee for this. Also, applications can be made by scanning the QR code.
Applications will be accepted in two phases—the first phase from September 10 to September 30, 2025 and the second phase from January 10 to January 31, 2026. The entire process of the scholarship scheme will be conducted free of cost by the Foundation.
