The impact of the protests in Nepal is extending into India. Reports have emerged of demonstrators attacking villages situated near the India-Nepal border. Demonstrations occurred on Wednesday in Darchula and Baitadi, Nepali areas bordering Jhulaghat and Dharchula. In Darchula, protesters vandalized the Congress and CPN-UML offices. Incidents of arson were also witnessed. The public’s anger was directed towards corruption and the social media ban, leading to widespread destruction and the ultimate resignation of the Prime Minister.
