A tense situation unfolded in Noida Phase 1 on Tuesday evening when Bajrang Dal members protested the discovery of a cow carcass. The activists expressed their outrage after finding a calf’s body in a local drain. This led to a road blockade attempt near the Shani temple.
Police reports indicate that individuals reported the presence of a cow’s carcass in a secluded spot near the Shani temple in Sector 14A. The Bajrang Dal expressed concerns about the possibility of the calf being murdered. As the police were en route to the scene, a large gathering of Bajrang Dal and other Hindu organizations’ activists occurred, resulting in a protest.
Protesters chanted slogans and some sat on the road to block it. The finding of the cow’s carcass caused widespread concern. It was later found that the carcass was several days old and deteriorating.
Authorities have assured the public that the matter is being investigated. ACP Swatantra Kumar Singh stated that the crowd was calmed down. The police have pledged to catch the perpetrators within 48 hours and have initiated an investigation to determine the cause and take the appropriate action.
