Bajaj Auto, a prominent name in the two-wheeler industry, has declared price cuts on its vehicles in preparation for the introduction of GST 2.0 in the country. The price reductions, amounting to between ₹20,000 and ₹24,000, will be applicable to both Bajaj and KTM motorcycles, since KTM is a Bajaj subsidiary. These lower prices will be available starting September 22, coinciding with the nationwide implementation of the new GST rates.
The government’s move intends to make vehicle purchases more accessible for countless families and small businesses that rely on dependable and affordable transportation. Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director of Bajaj Auto Limited, described the government’s decision to lower GST on two and three-wheelers as a courageous measure, which will enhance demand and bolster the sector. The company anticipates further price reductions as the festive season approaches. Furthermore, the GST Council announced tax cuts on various goods including vehicles and machinery last Wednesday. From September 22, 2025, GST on small cars, motorcycles up to 350cc, three-wheelers, buses, trucks and ambulances has been reduced from 28% to 18%.
