A group of four students proved that nothing could stop them from pursuing their education. Faced with closed roads due to landslides in Uttarakhand, they opted for an unconventional mode of transport. The students from Balotra, Rajasthan, were enrolled in a B.Ed. program through Uttarakhand Open University and had an exam scheduled at RS Tolia PG College in Munsiyari. Their journey took them to Haldwani. The road beyond Haldwani was blocked due to severe weather. They arranged for a helicopter service. The students contacted Heritage Aviation and explained the criticality of attending the exam. The company provided a helicopter with two pilots. Omaram Choudhary, Magaram Choudhary, Prakash Choudhary, and Lucky Choudhary took the exam and returned by helicopter. They spent around Rs 5,200 for a one-way trip and Rs 10,400 for a round trip. The helicopter trip was considerably faster than the 10-hour road trip. All four students are presently employed as third-grade teachers. They emphasized that they were initially worried about not making it to the exam, but ultimately completed it.
