The recent earthquake in Afghanistan’s Kunar province has led to significant destruction, impacting villages and, most importantly, schools. The widespread damage caused by the quake has left many children without a place to learn. According to the provincial education department, 391 students lost their lives, and 760 were injured.
Kunar’s Education Director, Mohibullah Haidari, said that 157,074 students are now unable to attend school. The earthquake also claimed the lives of three teachers and injured twenty others.
