The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has initiated action against a BJP worker, S. Vignesh Shishir, who has raised concerns about Rahul Gandhi’s citizenship. Shishir, who filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court, claiming Gandhi is a British citizen, has been summoned by the ED. He is required to appear on September 9th with all related evidence and documents, under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
The ED probes potential violations of foreign exchange regulations. The Congress party has refrained from commenting on the issue.
