A serious accident occurred in Pavagadh, Gujarat, on September 6, resulting in the deaths of six individuals. The incident involved the collapse of a ropeway trolley that was carrying construction material near the Pavagadh Hill Temple, situated in the Panchmahal district. The cable wire of the cargo ropeway is believed to have broken, leading to the trolley’s fall. Rescue operations were swiftly initiated following the collapse. Minister Rushikesh Patel stated that the bogie, carrying six laborers, was involved in the accident, and all six perished. A committee, established by the Collector, will provide a primary report to the government. The incident has initiated a review of the safety arrangements related to the ongoing development work near the Pavagadh temple, a significant pilgrimage site.
