In a tragic event, Rajendra Pandit murdered his wife, Lalita Devi, by slitting her throat following a domestic dispute in the Podaiyahat police station area of Godda district. The incident involved a violent outburst. During the altercation, Rajendra also attacked his in-laws with a knife. Following the attacks, Rajendra Pandit ended his own life by hanging himself.
The couple had been married for six years and had two children. Rajendra Pandit had been working outside the home.
Local sources suggest the couple had a history of arguments. The father-in-law, Ramdev Pandit, stated that the perpetrator was intoxicated when he committed the crimes. Police investigations are underway to determine the precise cause of the dispute.
