A student preparing for the JEE exam in Patna died by suicide on Friday. The deceased, Venugopal, was found hanging. He had been residing in Patna for four months at a relative’s house to prepare for the competitive examination.
The incident took place in a house on Ramnagar Road Number 8B in Patna. Venugopal was from Sohsa village in Arwal district. The father became concerned when he couldn’t reach his son by phone and subsequently learned of the suicide.
Upon entering the room, the police and family members found Venugopal’s body. The body was taken down and sent for a post-mortem examination. The police are conducting an investigation.
The father of Venugopal stated that he spoke with his son the night before, and everything seemed normal. The father, a farmer, said that his son was his only son, and he had a sister. He expressed that they had high hopes for his future. He said they had no family issues. He has no clue why his son would end his life. The police are investigating the cause of the suicide, examining the student’s phone and other evidence. The police are also speaking with the student’s family and friends.
