In preparation for upcoming festivals, Bihar Police has implemented comprehensive security measures. This is in anticipation of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi on September 5th, Anant Chaturdashi on September 6th, and Vishwakarma Puja on September 17th. Licenses are mandatory from local authorities for all processions. A ban on DJs during processions has been implemented. Additional security personnel have been supplied to all districts. Peace committee meetings must be held before any procession or immersion. Procession routes will be fixed and physically assessed. Extra security will be in place at sensitive sites. All processions will be video recorded, and divers will be deployed at designated ghats. Control rooms at the district and police headquarters will be operating 24/7, collecting regular updates from all districts to assess the situation. All districts have been asked to continuously monitor and address rumors, as well as to monitor social media. Preventative measures have been used against a large number of potential offenders.
