A state-level monthly review meeting was convened at the Agriculture Department in Bihar, chaired by Principal Secretary Pankaj Kumar. The meeting, held at Krishi Bhawan, Patna, saw participation from agricultural officers across all divisions and districts. The primary focus was on significant topics including Kharif crop coverage, data upload status on the Bihan app, diesel subsidies, contingency crop planning, rainfall patterns, and agricultural input grants.
The Principal Secretary directed the officials to ensure the timely processing of all agricultural input-related applications. It was stressed that the seed distribution program is essential to give the farmers timely availability of seeds so as to enhance crop production and productivity. The seed plan would be reviewed after the season based on coverage and production data.
