Mahindra & Mahindra’s August 2025 sales report indicates a marginal overall growth, with contrasting performances across its vehicle segments. The total sales of 75,901 vehicles nearly mirrored the previous year’s figures. However, the domestic SUV segment registered a 9% year-on-year decline. The market is suggesting that the uncertainty of the GST changes is impacting SUV demand, causing a delay in customer purchases. The company’s commercial vehicle segment experienced significant growth, increasing by 12%. The export market showed positive movement, with a 16% increase in sales volumes. Mahindra is also planning a series of new vehicle launches by the end of 2026. These include new SUVs, facelifts to existing models such as the Thar 3-door, XUV700, and Scorpio N, plus electric and hybrid vehicle introductions. Mahindra is anticipating increased sales in the upcoming festive season. The XUV 3XO may feature a new strong hybrid powertrain.
