The TVS Orbiter enters the electric scooter market. The Orbiter is placed below the iQube. The scooter features an IP67-certified traction motor and battery and a unique design with a flat floor and a long seat. It offers live location tracking, anti-theft alerts, charging station updates, and vehicle health information. A motor cut-off system is also included for safety. The Orbiter delivers a range of 158 km with a 3.1 kWh battery, with a charging time of around 4.1 hours. The scooter is available at ₹99,000 (ex-showroom, Bangalore) through the TVS website. The Honda Activa E features a 6kW axle-mounted PMSM motor and two 3kWh swappable batteries. The Suzuki E Access and Bajaj Chetak are also worth considering.
