Police in Chhattisgarh’s Mungeli district have arrested a village head, Indal Gond, for sexually harassing a woman and threatening her. The incident involved the village head demanding sex from the woman and threatening to kill her when she refused. A woman from Jagtakapa village filed a complaint with the police on August 31, 2025, detailing the events of August 30. The woman explained that around 6 p.m. that day, Indal Gond, the village head, who was drunk, entered her house while she was alone. He made inappropriate advances and demanded sexual acts. When she resisted, he threatened her with death. Following the orders of Superintendent of Police Bhojram Patel, the police took immediate action, leading to the arrest and subsequent jailing of the 55-year-old accused.
