Security forces, including the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, and Manipur Police, conducted extensive operations in Manipur between August 25th and August 31st, 2025. These operations were carried out in Jiribam, Churachandpur, Bishnupur, Kakching, Tamenglong, Kangpokpi, Imphal West, and Imphal East districts. Three militants were apprehended, and a substantial amount of arms, ammunition, and drugs were seized, including 53 weapons, 7 IEDs, and approximately 10 lakh rupees worth of narcotics. On August 25, Assam Rifles recovered 1200 WY tablets (worth approximately 10 lakh rupees) in Churachandpur district. Operations also led to the recovery of weapons like AK-47s, INSAS rifles, and mortars.
