The NIA has filed chargesheets against 63 individuals in the PFI case so far. Members of the trusts and other individuals claimed they were not involved in the NIA’s investigation and had no direct connection with the PFI. The NIA informed the court that these properties were used to provide physical and weapons training and shelter to PFI cadres. The court revoked the attachment of the properties because it found that the direct involvement of the trust members in PFI activities could not be proven.
Advocate PC Noushad, representing the applicants, stated that the court has revoked 17 property attachments in the PFI case. He explained that the NIA had discovered that funds were transferred to an accused in the PFI case from SDPI’s bank account in New Delhi, after which the account was seized. The court was informed that the accused worked as a driver and was paid a monthly salary. According to the information, the court has so far revoked 17 attachments made in the PFI case. The applicants have contacted the concerned authorities to initiate the process of releasing these properties.
