The third National Lok Adalat of 2025 is scheduled for Saturday, September 13th. This nationwide initiative is designed to provide the public with a platform to resolve legal matters. This event is also known as the Jan Adalat. It facilitates the resolution of pending legal matters and disputes through mutual consent. Additionally, it offers an opportunity to reduce the amount owed on traffic challans. The Lok Adalat will address many types of cases, including criminal compoundable offences, cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act (Section 138), bank recovery cases, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal cases, matrimonial disputes, labour disputes, land acquisition cases, electricity and water bills (excluding non-compoundable theft cases), service matters, revenue cases, and other civil cases. It takes place in district courts, all taluka-level courts, labour and industrial courts, family courts, consumer forums, and other tribunals. Citizens with pending cases can submit their applications to the courts concerned.
