Ahmed al-Rahawi, the Prime Minister of the Houthi-controlled government, was killed in Israeli airstrikes in Sanaa, Yemen. The Iranian-backed Houthi group confirmed the deaths on Saturday, specifying that several other ministers also perished in the attack. The officials were reportedly attending a government workshop when the strike occurred. The Israeli military stated it had “precisely struck a Houthi terrorist regime target” in Sanaa. Al-Rahawi, who had been Prime Minister since August 2024, was a leading figure in the Houthi-led administration.
