The perpetrators attempted to stage the murder as a heart attack. The woman has been arrested by the police, while her accomplice is still on the run. The police have filed a case against the accused and her lover, and the investigation is underway. The victim has been identified as Jelela Shekhar. His wife, Chitti, is the prime suspect. Chitti’s lover is named Harish. The couple lived in Kodandaram Nagar, Sarurnagar, Hyderabad, and had been married for 16 years, with two children. Shekhar was a cab driver, providing for his family.
During her husband’s absence, Chitti started an affair with Harish. They got closer, and an affair began. The affair was kept secret for some time. When Jelela Shekhar became suspicious, he started monitoring his wife. Eventually, he found out about her affair. The husband confronted his wife, Chitti. This led Chitti and her lover Harish to believe that Jelela Shekhar was an obstacle to their love. They then decided to kill him. Jelela Shekhar returned home after driving, ate dinner, and went to sleep. When he was in deep sleep, Chitti called Harish to the house.
One of the individuals strangled him, and the other hit him on the head with a dumbbell. To avoid suspicion, Chitti called dial 100. The Sarurnagar police took Jelela Shekhar to the hospital. Doctors examined him and confirmed that he had died from a head injury. The police then placed Shekhar’s body in the Osmania Hospital mortuary. Subsequently, Chitti was taken into custody and interrogated. Initially, she hesitated and claimed her husband had a heart attack and died while sleeping. However, after being questioned more rigorously, she admitted to the murder, confessing to conspiring with her lover.
