The central government has launched the SPREE 2025 scheme to strengthen the social security infrastructure and encourage registration of employers and employees. This special registration campaign is scheduled to run until December 31, 2025, providing employers and workers a valuable chance to be part of the Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) scheme. The initiative emphasizes the government’s dedication to the well-being of workers and its commitment to developing a comprehensive social safety net for all.
The primary goal is to bring a large number of unorganized, temporary, and contract workers under ESI coverage, giving them access to health services, maternity assistance, economic protection, and other social advantages. Employers benefit from relaxed regulations: no penalties or demands on past contributions, exemption from inspections on earlier cases, and registration validity from the date the employer declares.
The campaign focuses on Chhattisgarh, where ESIC is organizing awareness programs, help desks, and seminars via its regional and sub-regional offices in Raipur, Bilaspur, Korba, and Durg. Employers with 10 or more employees who have not yet registered under the ESI Act, or who have not included all eligible employees, can register online through the ESIC portal, Shram Suvidha portal, or MCA portal.
