Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister, Vishnu Deo Sai, held discussions in Seoul with representatives from the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), following a visit to Japan. The meetings with KITA Chairman Jin Sik Yoon and Vice President Kim Ki Hyun focused on potential collaborations in investment, technology transfer, and skill development. Sai discussed Chhattisgarh’s industrial policy, emphasizing its abundant natural resources and skilled labor pool. The Chief Minister noted the strong cultural and historical ties between South Korea and Chhattisgarh and expressed optimism that the dialogue would lead to new opportunities for investment, technology transfer, and skill development, thereby fostering industrial growth in the region. He also highlighted the state government’s commitment to providing a supportive environment for investors, including swift approvals and robust infrastructure. Chairman Yoon and Vice President Hyun expressed interest in Chhattisgarh’s investment climate. They indicated Korean companies are enthusiastic about investing in the state. Sai projected that the collaboration would significantly benefit farmers, laborers, and entrepreneurs in Chhattisgarh. He foresees the creation of thousands of jobs in various sectors, including food processing, electronics, automobiles, steel, and renewable energy. He also anticipates that technology transfers will enhance local industries, boosting the state’s economy. He concluded that this partnership could establish Chhattisgarh as a model for self-reliance and global cooperation.
