A controversy has erupted in Indian politics as the BJP strongly criticized Rahul Gandhi for allegedly making offensive remarks concerning Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother during a voter rights campaign in Bihar. The BJP has condemned the incident, labeling it as a new low in political discourse. The BJP declared that the campaign had surpassed all acceptable boundaries.
The BJP used social media to express their outrage, pointing to the use of abusive language from the stage of the Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav campaign, specifically targeting the late mother of Prime Minister Modi. The BJP said that this level of political degradation was unprecedented and that the campaign had crossed all lines of insult, hatred, and a blatant disregard for decency.
The BJP further stated that Rahul Gandhi allowed the use of abusive language directed at PM Modi’s mother from the campaign stage. The BJP added that Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav previously included leaders who had insulted the people of Bihar in their campaign. They said that this desperation led to the use of offensive language against the Prime Minister’s mother. The BJP added that the language used was too offensive to be repeated publicly.
The BJP warned that even a multitude of apologies would not be enough for the people of Bihar to forgive such an act.
Krishna Singh Kallu, a member of the Bihar BJP executive, has filed a complaint against Rahul Gandhi in Patna. The complaint alleges that Rahul Gandhi made derogatory remarks about the Prime Minister and Home Minister. The BJP leader said that at an event in Darbhanga, abusive language was used against the Prime Minister and his mother. He confirmed that an FIR had been filed.
Chirag Paswan spoke out, strongly criticizing the opposition’s language. He stressed that such language is unacceptable and degrades the quality of political discussion. He asserted that abusing the Prime Minister is not appropriate and should not be tolerated, questioning whether those using such language are indeed the opposition’s representatives. He believes targeting someone’s family in politics is unethical. He accused the opposition of corruption and warned that they will use the EVM and voter list as future talking points. He cautioned that the Congress is leading the country towards chaos.
