Doda, located in Jammu and Kashmir, experienced a devastating cloudburst on Tuesday, August 26th. The natural disaster resulted in four deaths and the destruction of over ten homes. The heavy rainfall led to widespread flash flooding within the district, compounding the impact. This incident follows recent events in Kathua and Kishtwar. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded an alert for torrential rains across numerous regions of Jammu, with several districts expected to be most affected. As a safety measure, all schools in the Jammu division will be closed due to the extreme weather conditions.
