A couple’s visit to a mall in Muzaffarpur turned into a police matter following an alleged incident in a washroom. The couple was accused of engaging in inappropriate activities, which led to a confrontation with mall employees. The incident occurred at a mall in the Motijheel area. The girlfriend reportedly experienced a stomach ache, prompting her to use the washroom, followed by her boyfriend. Mall employees alleged they were engaged in indecent acts inside. The boyfriend then engaged in a confrontation with mall staff, leading to the police being called.
The police took the couple, who are residents of Sherpur, to the police station. The boyfriend works in a mall, and his girlfriend is a 12th-grade student. The couple had been shopping for books before visiting the mall. The boyfriend stated that he followed his girlfriend into the washroom because she was in pain, denying the accusations against them. Police investigations showed that the couple has been together for eight years and lives in the same village. The mall staff insisted on their accusations, leading to the couple’s detention. The police, after informing their families, released the couple on a personal recognizance bond, warning them against similar behavior in the future.
