A major upgrade is coming to the iPhone 16 series with the iOS 26 update, specifically in the form of improved wireless charging capabilities. The iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max will all be compatible with Qi 2.2 wireless charging. Prior to this, iPhone models were limited to 25W wireless charging only when using Apple’s MagSafe Charger, with third-party Qi chargers restricted to 15W.
With this new update, users can expect to charge at speeds of up to 25W using any Qi 2.2 charger.
