Hyderabad police have taken Samala Mahender Reddy into custody following the murder of his wife, B. Swathi. The incident occurred on August 23rd, with the couple residing in the Medchal-Malkajgiri area. After a quarrel, Mahendra killed his wife and subsequently dismembered her body, disposing of parts of it in the Musi River. He attempted to mislead the authorities by reporting his wife missing but ultimately confessed to the crime during interrogation. Police found that he had discarded the head, hands, and legs in the Musi River. The torso was recovered from their home. The victim was 21 years old and five months pregnant. Forensic evidence has been collected, and a DNA test will be used for identification. A case has been registered, and a swift investigation and trial are planned.
