The automotive world is always in motion, with brands consistently updating and refreshing their vehicle designs. Volkswagen is rumored to be planning an all-new T-Roc with updated styling. Although the brand hasn’t made any official announcements, a leaked concept drawing has generated speculation about a potential new T-Roc.
The T-Roc was once available in India. Volkswagen offered the SUV from 2020 to 2021. The car was equipped with a 1.5 TSI engine, delivering 148 Bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. It was brought to India as a CBU import for a limited period, making it a rare sight. Volkswagen initially sold 1,000 units, and the car was discontinued after its second year in the Indian market.
Volkswagen has intentions to expand further in the Indian market with several new models. The recent introduction of the Golf GTI has helped the brand establish its image as a marque with performance credentials and a significant history, and the new T-Roc could potentially build on that success. The leaked sketches reveal a completely new design compared to previous Volkswagen models. The front of the car features sharp styling cues inspired by the Lamborghini Urus. The car also features a sloping roofline across the rear panel, further enhancing its appeal. The thick C-pillar emphasizes the designers’ intent to give the car a more coupe-like stance. Given the lack of official confirmation from Volkswagen, the rendering may not come to fruition or be released in India. However, if the model is released, it will likely be an eye-catching vehicle.
