The incident, which occurred on August 12, resulted in the deaths of three individuals. Singh, aged 28 and from Rataul village in Punjab, India, is charged with vehicular homicide. Authorities report that the collision involved Singh’s tractor-trailer and a minivan, with the crash following an illegal U-turn. With Singh facing a lengthy prison term, both his family and his village are requesting leniency, emphasizing his young age. Following the crash, Singh was found and apprehended in California and returned to Florida. Singh’s family has shared their sorrow regarding the victims. An online petition has been organized to rally support for Singh, but the petition has drawn mixed reactions from the public.
