A teacher at a private school in Lohardaga district, Jharkhand, is facing allegations of brutally assaulting a young student. The incident reportedly took place at St. Mary’s Public School, located under the Bhandara police station. The victim, a UKG student named Prince Uraon, suffered a broken finger and serious injuries to his leg. The alleged perpetrator is identified as teacher Kranti Kiran Kido. Prince’s father, Sukra Uraon, reported the incident to the police, explaining that his son was attacked with a stick by the teacher on August 20th after complaining about the poor quality of food provided in the school hostel. The frightened boy managed to escape the hostel and reach his home, where he informed his family about the incident. Medical examination at Sadar Hospital, Lohardaga, revealed that Prince sustained a broken finger and injuries to his right leg. When the family confronted the school authorities, they were allegedly mistreated. The school principal has stated that the accusations are unfounded, claiming the truth will be revealed during the investigation. Following the incident, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren intervened, instructing the Deputy Commissioner of Lohardaga district to investigate the matter and take necessary action, including providing medical care and counseling to the child.
