BYD is preparing to broaden its electric vehicle offerings in India with the Atto 2 SUV. The Atto 2 is currently being tested on Indian roads, and the model has previously been launched in the UK. It is speculated that the Indian variant’s price will be around ₹35 lakh ex-showroom, making it a direct competitor to the Creta Electric. The anticipated battery option for the Indian model is a 45 kWh BYD Blade battery pack, which is expected to provide a range of up to 463 km under WLTP testing standards. The Atto 2 features an FWD motor capable of generating 174 bhp and 290 Nm of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 160 km/h. Design elements include distinctive ‘Mobius Ring’ LED tail lights, NFC key access, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, aluminum roof rails, electric folding ORVMs, and rain-sensing wipers.
