The Maruti Ertiga is set to receive a comprehensive update, including changes to its dimensions and safety features. The 2025 model will see an increase in length, from 4.39 meters to 4.43 meters, while the wheelbase will remain the same. Boot space is also expected to be enhanced. The Ertiga Tour M variant already has larger dimensions, indicating that similar upgrades may be implemented across the range. Safety enhancements include a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) as a standard feature and modifications to the second-row AC vents. The inclusion of six airbags across the MPV lineup has resulted in a minor price adjustment. The current Ertiga range offers nine variants, with prices ranging from Rs 9.11 lakh to Rs 13.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated Ertiga is anticipated to continue with the 1.5-liter K-series petrol engine, which produces 102 bhp and 136 Nm of torque. The CNG variant delivers 87 bhp and 121.5 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard, and a 6-speed automatic transmission is available on select petrol variants. Furthermore, Maruti Suzuki is planning to introduce a new Arena-exclusive mid-size SUV to rival competitors like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. This new SUV, positioned between the Brezza and Grand Vitara, is slated for launch on September 3, 2025. The official name and further details of the SUV are still pending, but possible names include ‘Escudo’ or ‘Victorris’.
