A significant crackdown on counterfeit currency has taken place in Ranchi, with police seizing two crore rupees in fake notes from a bus. Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the case.
The operation was carried out by the Sukhdevnagar police station, following instructions from Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Chandan Sinha. The raid was led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Prakash Soe.
Acting on a tip-off, the police team discovered the counterfeit currency hidden inside a box on a bus at the bus stand. The investigation is ongoing, with the police conducting further raids based on the interrogation of the arrested individuals. A car has also been seized as part of the investigation.
