During a live streaming gaming session, a British gamer became a witness to the murder of his online friend, who was located over 1,000 miles away. The gamer immediately contacted the police to report the unfolding tragedy.
Reports indicate that the victim, a 32-year-old Finnish woman, was playing online games with her friend from the UK for around ten hours before the incident. The British player heard a window shattering at her home in Puumala. After asking if her doors were locked, he heard an unfamiliar voice speaking to her in Finnish. Unable to help directly, the gamer emailed the local police around 5 a.m. Authorities subsequently discovered the woman deceased in her living room.
Following the stabbing, the attacker is believed to have driven about 30 miles to Juva, where he set fire to a barn. Witnesses stated they saw him emerging from the flames with open arms before collapsing. He was taken to a hospital but later died from his injuries.
Investigators have confirmed that the man had no prior connection to the police and had no known link to the victim. They believe he chose her home arbitrarily.
The lead investigator, Criminal Inspector Marfa Raipeal, confirmed the incident was not considered an act of terrorism, and the investigation was closed after the assailant’s death.
Separately, French influencer Jean Pormanov died after suffering hours of torture and abuse during a live stream on the Kick platform. Reports say the influencer had a history of using physical abuse for his content.
