Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated development projects in Bihar, amounting to 13,000 crore rupees and also launched two trains. During a public address, he started his speech in the Magahi language. Modi expressed his pleasure in serving the public and criticized the RJD, pointing out their governance failures in the past. He began his speech in Gaya with local greetings.
Addressing the gathering, PM Modi announced a new law focused on curbing corruption. This law will affect all leaders, including Chief Ministers and Prime Ministers, mandating that they must step down if they do not secure bail within 30 days. He stated that those who are jailed will be removed from their offices. Corrupt officials will be both imprisoned and stripped of their positions. Modi reiterated his dedication to public service, particularly in the area of housing. He highlighted that over 4 million impoverished individuals have been provided with permanent homes over the last 11 years, with 3.8 million homes built in Bihar alone, including 200,000 in Gaya. The Prime Minister assured that the housing program would persist until everyone in need has a home.
He emphasized that this year’s Diwali and Chhath Puja in Bihar would be especially festive, and he promised that the housing scheme would continue until every impoverished person has a home. Modi referred to Gaya Ji as a land of spirituality and peace, the location where Lord Buddha achieved enlightenment. He acknowledged the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of Gaya and commended the decision to refer to the city as Gaya Ji, praising the efforts of the Bihar government for its swift development.
Modi stated that all promises made on the soil of Bihar have been kept. He recalled his vow to eliminate terrorism from the region following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam. He said that the world is now observing the fulfillment of that commitment. Modi highlighted ‘Operation Sindoor’, underscoring its impact on India’s defense strategy, ensuring that terrorists would no longer evade accountability.
