The Aunta-Simaria 6-lane Ganga Bridge in Bihar is nearing completion, bringing relief and improved connectivity to residents of 25 districts. The bridge, located in the Begusarai district, is 1.865 kilometers long, with a total project length, including approach roads, of 8.150 kilometers. The project cost approximately 1871 crore rupees. This new bridge will enhance travel between North and South Bihar, connecting Aunta in Mokama with Simaria in Begusarai.
The new bridge replaces the congested two-lane rail-cum-road bridge, promising smoother traffic flow and easier movement for heavy vehicles. The project ensures improved 4-lane connectivity from Patna, through Mokama, to Begusarai and Khagaria, making travel more efficient and convenient.
