SSMB29, the upcoming film starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra and directed by S.S. Rajamouli, is generating buzz with reports of a Hollywood connection. The film’s title and core details are slated for a November 2025 release. The director has apparently forged a link with James Cameron, the director of the globally successful Titanic.
Rumors circulating on social media indicate that James Cameron might unveil the title of SSMB29 while promoting Avatar 3: Fire and Ash in India. The film is being described as a global jungle adventure, with Mahesh Babu portraying a daring explorer influenced by the likes of Indiana Jones and African folklore.
Initially conceived as a two-part series, the film is now planned as a single feature, with a budget between 900-1000 crore rupees, targeting a 2027 release. Shooting is scheduled to commence in South Africa in September 2025, with some scenes already filmed in Hyderabad with Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
The official announcement regarding the film will be made in November during Mahesh Babu’s 50th birthday celebrations, with an emphasis on a reveal unlike anything seen before. The tentative title is “Globetrotter.”
