The shooting took place in the Sitanpur village, under the Ujiarpur police station. The victim, identified as Vikram Giri, was targeted. The attackers fired multiple rounds. The continuous gunfire caused widespread fear. The deceased resided in Madhopur village.
Assailants arrived on motorcycles and ambushed Vikram near his home. They surrounded him and then opened fire. The attackers left after ensuring Vikram was dead.
Vikram had a known criminal past. He was out on bail, having been implicated in a murder investigation. He was also considered a key suspect in the murder of Nepali Chaudhary, a furniture businessman. Vikram had a long history of criminal involvement.
