His death, resulting from pancreatic cancer, was announced on his official Instagram page, where he was honored for his warmth and his steadfast belief in the inherent goodness of people. Judge Caprio adjudicated thousands of cases in Providence, Rhode Island, before beginning his television career. His unique courtroom style led to numerous viral moments, including inviting children to sit with him on the bench.
