Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) has marked its return to the South African market with the launch of four new models. The launch event, held in Johannesburg, introduced the Harrier, Curvv, Punch, and Tiago. The Harrier, a full-size SUV, is equipped with a 2.0-liter Kryotec turbocharged engine, generating 125 kW of power and 350 Nm of torque. It has a 10.25-inch or 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Alexa Car2Home. Safety features include six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, corner stability control, and Level 2 ADAS functionality. The Curvv, a coupe-inspired SUV, features a 1.2-liter Revotron turbocharged petrol engine that produces 88 kW and 170 Nm of torque and can be paired with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCA automatic transmission. The interior includes a 7-inch or 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Safety is a priority with six airbags, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability program (ESP). The Punch, a compact SUV, is powered by a 1.2-liter Revotron petrol engine which generates 65 kW and 115 Nm. The Punch has either a 7-inch Harman infotainment system or a 10.5-inch floating display. The Tiago, a compact hatchback, is powered by a 1.2-liter Revotron petrol engine (63 kW, 113 Nm) and has a 7.0-inch or 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Safety features include ABS, EBD, corner stability control, and two airbags.
