A woman in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, was defrauded by a tantrik who used deceptive promises. He told her that he could perform rituals to help her keep her money. The woman believed him and brought him to her home. During the ritual, the tantrik stole a valuable item from her. The woman only discovered the theft the next day, leading to her extreme disappointment.
The woman then approached the police with her complaint, and they are now searching for the fraudulent tantrik. Meera, who owns a tea shop near LNT Business Management College in Bhagwanpur and resides in IG Colony, provided her account to the police. Originally from Garaul, Vaishali, she stated that the man, who claimed to be a tantrik, had been visiting her shop for several days.
He would spend a considerable amount of time there after drinking tea. Meera explained that she often suffered from health problems, and while she earned money, her household did not experience financial stability. The con artist, presenting himself as a tantrik, offered a ritual to address her issues. She was deceived and, without hesitation, brought him to her home. There, the fake tantrik requested her to bring all her jewelry.
He wrapped the jewelry in a red cloth, recited some mantras, and returned the bundle. He instructed her not to open it until the next morning, after watering the Tulsi plant. The next morning, after completing the task, Meera opened the bundle and found only paper. The jewelry was gone. Meera suspects that the con artist may have used some chemicals while handing her the bundle to cause disorientation. The investigation is ongoing, confirmed by Sadar Police Station’s officer, Asmit Kumar.
