A significant incident occurred during the Congress’s Voter Rights March in Nawada, Bihar. The vehicle transporting Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav was involved in a collision with a police officer. The officer, who was providing security for the march, was struck by the vehicle. Quick intervention by other security personnel ensured the officer’s safety. Following the incident, Rahul Gandhi, a Congress MP, made sure to check on the police officer.
Rahul Gandhi also alleged a collaboration between the Election Commission and the BJP, accusing them of stealing votes. He assured that the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ would prevent any vote theft in Bihar. He stated these views during an address at Bhagat Singh Chowk in Nawada.
During his speech, the Congress MP highlighted that voting is a fundamental right, as per the constitution. He criticized Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and the Election Commissioner, accusing them of trying to suppress this right. He, along with Tejashwi and other leaders of the ‘Mahagathbandhan’, pledged to ensure that no votes are stolen in Bihar.
Rahul Gandhi also spoke about a new form of vote theft happening in Bihar, referred to as SIR. He cautioned the public about losing their voter cards, ration cards, and ultimately their land to Adani and Ambani. He reiterated that the country belongs to farmers, laborers, and small business owners, and not to Adani and Ambani.
