A Deputy Collector in the Balod district of Chhattisgarh is facing a rape allegation following a complaint filed by a female constable at the Daundi police station. The police have initiated legal action based on the woman’s report, and the Deputy Collector may face arrest.
The Deputy Collector, Dilip Uike, who is from Avari village, Daundi block, is currently posted in the Bijapur district. The female constable, a member of the CAF, accused him of sexual exploitation, claiming that he promised to marry her and had engaged in physical relations with her for approximately one year. She reported the matter to the Daundi police after he refused to fulfill his promise.
The Daundi police have registered an FIR and are currently investigating the matter. It is anticipated that the Deputy Collector will be arrested soon.
Earlier, about eight months ago, a man was killed in a car accident involving the Deputy Collector’s vehicle. Additionally, he was removed from the position of in-charge CEO of Bhopalpatnam Janpad by the Bijapur Collector approximately three months ago.
ASP Monika Thakur confirmed the filing of the FIR and stated that the investigation is ongoing. The complaint alleges that the officer had sexual relations with the woman for a year, using the promise of marriage.
