A tragic event occurred in Kawardha, Chhattisgarh, where a man is accused of brutally murdering his father and aunt. The suspect allegedly used an iron crowbar to carry out the fatal attacks. The police have apprehended the suspect and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the double homicide. The crime took place in the village of Indori, under the jurisdiction of the Piparia police station in the Kawardha district. The suspect, identified as Ramkumar Kathle, who is 38 years old, is accused of killing his father, Narayan Kathle, and his aunt, Dharmin Bai. The killings occurred on Sunday. After receiving the information, the Piparia police arrived at the scene to document the scene and send the bodies for a post-mortem. The police apprehended the suspect and, during interrogation, discovered that the dispute was regarding land division. The accused reportedly became enraged and assaulted his father with the crowbar. The aunt, who tried to intervene and stop the violence, was also attacked. Both the father and aunt died at the scene. The police have filed a case against the suspect under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The police team, led by Inspector Amit Kashyap, conducted the investigation, including gathering evidence, documenting the death, registering the crime, and arresting the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
