A highly controversial situation has unfolded in Telangana, drawing significant attention on the internet. A 28-year-old man died in a road accident, and footage emerged showing the Telangana police transporting his body using a pushcart due to the absence of an available ambulance. The video has gone viral and has generated widespread condemnation.
The incident happened on a Sunday. Mogulayya was traveling to a bus stand on his motorcycle when he was hit by a tipper lorry at Shivaji Chowk. The collision took place on a one-way street, resulting in his death at the scene, as reported.
The police, upon arriving at the scene, attempted to get an ambulance to transport the body to the Kosgi government hospital, which is situated a short distance away, for a post-mortem. However, the ambulance did not appear. Because of the need to move the body, police officers chose to use a pushcart, a common means of transporting goods.
This action sparked outrage among the community, who voiced their disapproval of the authorities’ apparent lack of empathy and poor planning.
