At the funeral feast for Guru Shibu Soren, a wide array of 12 different dishes were served to both ordinary and distinguished guests. The menu included dal, rice, puri, potato and parwal vegetable, mixed vegetables, fried fish, mutton, curd, rasgulla, gulab jamun, bundia, papad, and salad. Pickles, a favourite of Guru Shibu Soren, were also provided. Arrangements were made for over 200,000 people, and the feast continued into the late hours. Separate arrangements were available for vegetarian and non-vegetarian guests.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren himself attended the feast, interacting with VIPs, special guests and the large number of attendees, to gather feedback on their dining experience.
