Authorities are investigating the death of a man found near the SC Colony in Pathapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The victim, identified as Nalli Raju, was discovered alongside his motorcycle. The initial investigation listed the death as suspicious due to the lack of apparent injuries. However, a post-mortem examination revealed that Raju had been drugged with sleeping pills and then suffocated.
This discovery prompted a detailed investigation, which included reviewing CCTV footage from the area. Two individuals, Gundu Uday Kumar and Mallikarjun, were seen acting suspiciously near Raju’s residence. Upon questioning, the narrative evolved to implicate Raju’s wife, Monica. It was revealed that Monica and Gundu Uday Kumar were involved in an affair.
Despite Raju’s and his family’s attempts to end the affair, Monica remained committed to her lover and devised a plan to murder her husband. She administered five sleeping pills to Raju. In the early hours of the morning, Monica summoned Gundu Uday Kumar and his friend, Mallikarjun, to their home. They proceeded to suffocate Raju with a pillow, causing his death.
The perpetrators then moved Raju’s body and his motorcycle, attempting to make the scene appear accidental. Monica pretended to be unaware of her husband’s whereabouts until the body was discovered. The police investigation revealed the truth, leading to the arrest of Monica, her lover, and his friend. All three were taken into custody and were subsequently remanded to jail.
