Bhuvneshwar Kumar has expressed his support for Jasprit Bumrah’s approach to workload management. Kumar believes that many people do not fully understand the demands that fast bowlers face. His remarks were in response to the critics who scrutinized Bumrah’s participation during the five-Test series in England. Before the series started, it was decided Bumrah would play in only three of the five Tests. Despite this plan, Bumrah faced criticism for missing the final Test. Bhuvneshwar, in an interview, stated that it is difficult to expect Bumrah to play for extended periods. He indicated that injuries can happen, given Bumrah’s bowling action. He supported the selectors’ decision-making, acknowledging their understanding of Bumrah’s value and his ability to contribute significantly even with limited appearances. Kumar believes that managing players well is essential for their long-term success and career.
